Abstract

A literature review provides a comprehensive summary and evaluation of existing research related to a particular topic. It involves reviewing and analyzing relevant papers, articles, and other sources to gather information and insights on the subject at hand. The review summarizes and outlines the key findings and conclusions of past research and identifies any gaps or inconsistencies in existing literature. It serves as a foundation for the current study, providing context and insight into the research question and methodology. In this study, the literature review provided a thorough summary of earlier work on biomimetic remineralization and the use of natural and synthetic antimicrobial agents for dental restoration. Relevant papers and sources were surveyed and analyzed to identify the current state of research and any gaps or limitations in the existing literature. This information was used to inform the research question and methodology for the current study, highlighting the importance of a comprehensive literature review in guiding and shaping scientific research.
